Fanfiction has ruined me
Aug. 12th, 2015 01:14 pmSo, I'm not sure how many of you own dogs, but dogs get bumps and sores all the time-- especially when you have three of them. And when you see something, you check.
So, that being said, I'm scratching Bandit's belly and I look down and oh my god he's got a bump!!! My mind instantly goes terrified -- can dogs have testicular cancer? Does his own is have an abscess? So I reach for it and realize, very quickly, just what it really was.
My dog had popped a knot.
So I pushed him down and told him to lay down and immediately had to share this with my husband. Peter stares at me for a minute and then goes, "did you just say our dog popped a knot?"
Well... Yes, yes I did.
"The fact that you KNOW that and know what it's called..." And then he shook his head and left. And I realized I know more about animal biology from fiction and fanfiction.
It's important to know, I suppose. LOL
